Disneyland 2014 Part 1

Back in May of 2014 we were sitting around my parents dinner table and reminiscing about the many trips we took to Disneyland as a family when I was little. I mean we were hitting up Disneyland 2 to 3 times a year! My Grandma would come and my aunts and cousins! It was always such a blast and it is definitely something Ryan and I want to do for our children. So we all decided to book our plane tickets, come September we booked our hotels, and November we did the rental cars. Man we talked this trip up. We couldn't wait to see Krew when he saw the characters for the first time. We visited the park December 23rd to the 25th and spent the rest of our days in San Diego on La Jolla beach. Our most favorite place ever! I will do short recaps on each picture but I hope they mainly speak for themselves. Krew was an absolute blast and we are already planning our next trip back. Baby Lady will be here too!!

We waiting 1 whole hour to see Mickey Mouse. They trap you. You go into his house and you think the line isn't long because his house looks so small. Oh, no it's a long line and people will bombard the crap out of your butt. Just to see what's going on.
Anyways, the moment Krew saw Mickey Mouse was so magical. I wish I could describe the feelings we had as parents. I mean look at our smiles! He said "Mickey's shoes" like holy crap this guy is real! IT WAS THE BEST EVER!
He gave Mickey high five and you could just see his mind racing, it was mind blowing.
Top 3 best parent moments ever! That day we took it pretty easy, I ate 2 giant pickles. No, make that 3.

The next day we ventured into California Adventure Park! Krew has been obsessed with the movie Cars ever since I can remember. Again, his mind was blown by Tow Mater and McQueen

He couldn't even focus his mind was so freakin blown!

This is one of my favorite pictures. He kept hugging McQueen and saying "Ca-Chow"! Too cute!

We met Jake. Krew gave him a hug and sang Yo Ho!
One of our resolutions in 2014 was to travel more and I would say our trip at the end of the year really blew it all out of the water! I am so blessed to have my little family!

21 Weeks!

I had initially meant for this to be last week, but obviously I didn't get around to it.

How far along? 21 weeks plus 1 day! Every single day counts!

Maternity clothes? I am mixing in a lot of my normal clothes with maternity pants and leggings. It's getting harder though. I am looking forward to a little shopping spree this summer though!

Stretch marks? No! Thanking my lucky stars!

Sleep: It's ok, I have a really hard time falling asleep. Once I am asleep I will only wake up a couple times. I wake up in the mornings sore as hell though!

Best moment this week:  I am starting to feel baby lady LOTS more. I can't wait till family & friends will be able to feel her kick from the outside. My stupid placenta.

Miss Anything? No, I am so thankful to be able to carry life!

Movement: Not as much as I remember feeling with Krew. Like I've said my placenta is anterior so it's a lot harder to feel her kicks. She mostly dances around at night right before bedtime. Sometimes in the mornings but not much. I read they sleep 14 + hours during the day so that makes sense!

Food cravings: No real cravings. I'm trying to eat what I feel like but remain healthy. It's a lot easier then most people think!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Sometimes the thought of meat does.

Gender: Baby lady & we have a name! Not announcing till birth.

Labor Signs: None.

Symptoms: Just tired all the time and I'm sore all over. With Krew I wasn't this uncomfortable so early on. My tailbone has been so painful lately!

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood: Pretty good overall. My progesterone injections do make me a little more sensitive but I am trying to keep my emotions in check. I have had a case of the January blues. I just want to get outside!

Looking forward to:  My sweet husband scheduled me a pregnancy massage for tomorrow! My tailbone has been killing me.

iPhone dump

We started this new thing with Krew, in the evenings after dinner we pick a Disney movie on Netflix and crawl under the covers and watch it! It's so fun and Krew will get so snuggly with us!
I FINALLY got our family pictures, Krew 2 year, and our Disneyland pictures developed and in frames. Although I've only gotten 1 hung.

This was me sitting in the laundry room of our hotel room in CA. I only packed Krew ONE blanket for our 5 day trip. BAD mistake. He got chocolate milk and sand ALL over it. I just kept thinking at least I am in sunny CA!

This little cheese ball is getting too smart for his own good! He talks so much, all the time. Just babbles my ear right off.

I've been trying new hairstyles lately. I don't wash my hair more than twice a week so it's hard for me to come up with cute and easy hairstyles that I can wear to work!

I am so happy we decided to purchase all of our Disneyland pictures! I can't wait to take baby lady back! We really had the time of our lives!
When Ryan is working Krew will happily take over his spot in bed. I don't know where he got this laying position from but it's so funny! He really is the king of the castle at our house! We just love him so!
Currently this is the only place I ever want to be. I've had some MAJOR round ligment pains and my tailbone is killing me. So baths help me relax soo much. My master bathroom is worth the house payment alone.

20 weeks down!

(19 weeks!)

How far along?

20 weeks! My doctor projects I have 16-17 more weeks, of course we are all hoping for the full 20!

  Total weight gain/loss:

I am up 4 pounds. My doctor told me I need to start eating more calories because I should be up 7-8 pds by now. I've been working hard on eating complex carbs and proteins, it's hard for me in general to gain weight. (I know sob story) but I am really trying my hardest!

 Sleep:

Some nights it's good, some night's it's bad. I usually wake up in the early morning hours with hip pain. Mostly in my right hip. I am sleeping with a bump pillow but I think I need to add some extras. Poor Ryan isn't going to have a bed here soon.

 Best moment this week:

It's only Tuesday. We started this new thing watching Disney movies with Krew at night and I love it. We just snuggle and he will talk us through the movie. I am going to miss is just being us 3.

 Movement:

I haven't felt her near as much as I remember feeling Krew. Turns out I have an anterior placenta, so baby is behind the placenta and her kicks need to be that much harder for me to feel them. Ryan still hasn't felt her and I only do a few times at night. It's a total bummer and I am really hoping the placenta takes a backseat to baby.

Symptoms:

Luckily I have still been feeling pretty good. I do get tired a whole lot earlier in the evening. I am back at the gym but am having some tailbone and round ligament pains.

 Food cravings:

Sandwiches still, Pizza Pringles, and Vitamin Water!

 Food aversions:

Beef!

Gender:

At our 20 week SHE is still a SHE! I am getting more nervous about being the mother to a little girl.

Labor Signs:

None, luckily. I am still having the progesterone shots each week which suck but we are really hoping they help keep baby in to cook longer!

Belly Button in or out?

It's making it's way out and it confuses Krew. SO cute!

What I miss:

Nothing this week. I'm starting to find more of my wardrobe that will work with my growing bump and I am totally more confidant this time around then I was with Krew.

What I am looking forward to:

We are going to start getting a nursery ready soon and pulling out some things we kept from when Krew was a baby. We have our bedding and swing picked out.

Weekly Wisdom:

Go to sleep. The house does not need to be perfect.

Milestones:

My 20 week ultrasound was last week. It was so fun to see baby lady!

18 Weeks!

How far along?
18 weeks!

 Total weight gain/loss:
After Thanksgiving, Christmas, and our California trip I have NO idea. I don't care to know. I am confident enough to know I will keep steady at about 25-30 pds. This pregnancy I am just focused on having a healthy full term babe!

 Sleep:
It depends. Some nights I am extremely exhausted, other nights I lay wide awake in bed. We are getting Krew trained into his toddler bed so that's been difficult

 Best moment this week:
I have a 4 day weekend to celebrate the New Year with my boys & hubby turns the big 2 7 on Saturday! Lots of family time.

 Movement:
Just little ones here and there. Like little gas bubbles or flicks. Can't wait to feel those big kicks and rolls!

 Symptoms:
I've been feeling SO much better lately. I think I am slowly working myself back up to get back into the gym! I can't wait for that.

 Food cravings:
Sandwiches still, cold cereal, and ice water.

 Food aversions:
Nothin' really!

Gender:
GIRL GIRL GIRL!
I am so excited I never thought I would be able to say that I have a little girl on the way! Slightly nervous too!

Labor Signs:
I had my 2nd progesterone shot yesterday. I am hoping they get easier or that I just get use to them. They are so not fun, my ass is sore for a few hours!

Belly Button in or out?
It's slowly coming out!

What I miss:
It's pathetic but I already miss clothes. I am too stingy to buy too many maternity clothes.

What I am looking forward to:
I am looking forward to ringing in  new year and being able to focus on my baby girl some more. Connecting with her through her movement and I have my 20 week scan on Thursday!

Weekly Wisdom:
If you can. Take the day off. Enjoy it.

 Milestones:
Finding out and announcing little lady!!!

2015 Resolutions

I cannot believe that in 2 days it will be 2015! We have had such a crazy year in 2014 and I hope things calm down in 2015 and we are able to slow down a little bit. Something tells me with a 2 year old and a newborn, slowing down is the last thing that is going to happen for us. I of course always set a few resolutions for myself personally, and as a family. Just goals that I would like to see us achieve and celebrate. I am very pleased with how well writing things down and actually seeing them accomplished worked out for us in 2014. So, we are gonna give it another shot!

  • Continue to make our house a home. We need some new furnishings, pictures, and our backyard needs to be put in for fun things this summer!
  • Potty train Krew. This is a must. Preferably by May, we'll see.
  • Plan a nursery & name baby GIRL!!
  • Get Krews glove off. We are REALLY shooting for March!
  • Visit my in-laws in Idaho as much as possible. We never ever do this enough.
  • Work on some family relationships. I would really like to put more effort into relationships with people in my family. Genuine, quality time.
  • Give birth! (This will happen whether I am ready or not)
  • Enjoy at least 3 Summer vacations as a family!
  • Compete in Spudman 2015. So excited for this!
  • Complete 2 more half marathons in under 2:15. I had this goal for myself last year but obviously it's up here again. I am really going to push for this, especially since I will be trying to get rid of baby weight.
  • Love & celebrate my marriage as much as humanly possible. I know this should be a goal each and every day but we are coming up on the 7 year itch and adding another baby to the mix. I want to make sure I am giving it my all.
  • Finish a FULL marathon. Again, this was on my list last year. My mom and sister run the St. George marathon every year and I just think it would be so friggin' cool to cross the finish line hand in hand with those 2! I better get on this before my mom needs to retire her hip!

There is nothing too serious on here unlike last year when we were trying to sell our house and buy a new one. These are mostly personal things. As baby girl comes we will see where life takes us!

I wish everyone a very happy, healthy 2015. Set some goals for yourself and really stick to them! It's so awesome seeing everything pan out as it should! God is good and works in mysterious ways! Stay confident and follow your dreams!

It's A...

R, K, & I are so beyond thrilled to be welcoming a little lady into our family! Our gender reveal story is quite funny! We went in for a testing ultrasound on Monday November 24th. We were given a 70% accuracy rate of baby being a boy. The tech based this off the "angle of the dangle". Here is a picture..

If the angle is pointing up it's a boy, if it's a girl the angle is point straight across. Of course when we got the news we would welcome another little boy into our family we were so excited. We figured that R's dad had some say in that as he had just passed away. We had a name picked out and everything! Fast forward almost 4.5 weeks, we were waiting to announce on Christmas day. We wanted to have a 100% confirmation so we scheduled another ultrasound. We knew it wouldn't change, you hardly hear of stories where you are told boy when it's really a girl, it's usually the other way around.
So, last Monday before we left for our trip R, myself, and my sissy jumped in the car excited to see baby boy again. We didn't let the tech know that we had already been scanned and were told a boy. We wanted a for sure opinion based straight off the spread of the legs. The tech was having a hard time getting a good shot. Ryan and I joked that Krew wasn't that difficult, the tech proceeded to tell us that boys are usually pretty easy. That's when my mind started to wonder. Just what IF the initial ultrasound had been wrong. About 20 mins into the scan the tech asked me to drink some cold water and turn on my side and jab at baby to get him or her to move. So I did that for about 10 mins, she left to give me some privacy but did tell us that she had an idea. Ryan mentioned that he wasn't seeing that he saw with Krew but we totally blew it off. 2 extremely open shots later the tech told us IT'S A GIRL!

We all sat there SHOCKED. I had the tech check 2 more times. I didn't believe it. We were given 110% confirmation. The tech was confidant in sending us on our way!! I couldn't wait to get home to tell my mom sister in laws and mother in law. The initial shock is slowly wearing off and we are warming up to some names! We do have some boy clothes that we need to return though!!
