Wii

Yes people I caved!! ::blushing with embarrasment:: Ryan has been wanting a video game console for quite some time now after his xbox got stolen by a certain someone who for their sake I will leave un named! Anyways.. I have been thinking and thinking about a good present to get him shoes-no, clothes-no, anything Boise- NO!, So I came to the genius thought of a Nintendo Wii!!

What guy doesn't like video games?? I know my man loves to play them so its the perfect present for him! Plus I can play it too and I do plan on getting as good as Ryan so I can beat him and all of his friends! ;] Did I get the Wii so that I could play it to? Maybe yes Maybe no?? So we went out and about last night grocery shopping for our fun weekend activities and I suggest that we go and look at them because Ryan has been asking for something of the sort.. so we walk into the store and before I know it Wii in hand, Call of Duty (so so dumb), 2 regular controlers and a excited husband later I nailed the perfect birthday present. Yes yes I know Wife of the Year! :]

So I hope I make his 22nd birthday a very good one we have lots of fun things planned.. Tonight we are having our family and friends over to ring in the new year with! We wouldn't want anyone else surrounding us to start off a brand new decade! Saturday I have an appointment to get my make up done at Bare Minerals (Ryan is so thoughtful and made me one so I can be sure and use it right) Then that night we have dinner out with our friends at The Sky Box which I am sure my hubby will love, and Sunday I am making him his favorite steak sandwhiches and have him a birthday cake from Schmidts of course! :] Thats birthday tradition! Hopefully this weekend goes off without a hitch but knowing this family we may have a few road blocks! So wish me luck I hope you all have a fabulous 2010 kick off and be safe!!
xoxoxo

Christmas

Santa Clause sure did come to the Barras house this year! I knew we had been extra good! :] Christmas Eve we started out at Little America with my amazing parents! After dinner Ryan and I went our own way for a  bit and drove past my Grandmas really good friend Shirley Foots house it is decked out every year and my Grandma ALWAYS took us to drive past it.. So since Grams isn't here to do that I thought I would carry the tradition on for her even if it is just Ryan and I. It was so cute like always and made me think about the good times I had with my Grandma. Then we went home to get our kiddies and all of the presents and headed out to my Aunt Joannes house. Once we got there we exchanged presents and chatted for a bit, then it was off to play games! We got back to my mom and dads around 9 or so and automatically whipped out Phase 10! We love that game! I was sick so I didn't last very long I think I was in bed by 11:00!! Of course my sisters boyfriend one (I blamed it on his old age and experience) but my sister just thinks he is good. Grr!! I hate to lose! The next morning we woke up and opened all of our presents!
Ryan and I got my dad a 100 piece ratchet set which was kinda pricey but he needed it, my sister Ry and I made my mom a picture collage frame with recent pictures of all of us! It turned out really cute and I almost kept it for my own house! We bought my sister a sonicare toof brush (not like she brushes her teeth anyway) and she loved it, and we got Clark a gift card to Ikea so he can get some stuff for his apartment! My parents gave Ryan and I money and we bought a t.v stand and wire so we can FINALLY get our surround sound set up. My sister gave us a gift card bought me a SUPER cute shirt and some matching earrings! :] Ryan spoiled me a little too rotten and bought me the big set of Bare Minerals makeup I have been begging for it for a year now! So its about time! LOL JK!! He also got me the new Mariah Carey perfume which smells SO SO good and a gift card to go get my belly button pierced and enough money to get some fab jewelry for it! Now that I have the card I am too scared to go and get it done so I will keep you peeps updated on that! He also got me a jewelry armoire and some candy! :) Oh how I love him. I got him an 8 drawer standing Craftsman tool set and filled his stocking with tools, candy, shaving razors, a new belt, a columbia fleece pull over, there was other stuff that I am not remebering at the moment! Ryans side of the family decided to draw names since it would be cheaper for people to buy presents for just one person instead of everyone so Kens girlfriend picked me and bought me a new widescreen Tom Tom!!

I love it! I always get lost so it is SO SO handy to have! and Peyton drew Ryans name since he is with his dad we haven't exchanged that yet! All in all we had a great Christmas this year and hope to make them better and better as the years come! I am so thankful for my parents they go above and beyond to keep us happy my seester who is so so funny and very caring and my husband who shows his love for me in more way then one! I am starting to love Christmas more and more each year I spend with him!! Sorry there are no pictures! :]

Weekend before Christmas

First off let me just say I am so grateful for the family and friends that put out the effort to be apart of our life!! We had such a good weekend out with friends I can't even tell you how much fun it was! We started off the night with a winter bbq at our place and we gave them a little xmas gift. I gave the girls a cute set of 2 gloves and bought the boys a big box of nerds since.. they are nerds!! Then we hit the trax to go ice skating, while on the trax we stopped in the middle of the road for about 10 minutes and I really started to get worried I am so claustrophobic its not even funny plus I have seen the movie Pelham 123! I started to freak out a bit and knew I just had to talk myself out of getting sick and having a panic attack! It was horrible we had to exit off the trax where they had buses for people who needed them but we just decided to walk the 2 blocks to the Galliven center!! We eventually ended up finding out that the poor man was ran over.. Once we got there I was so ready to get out on the ice, I have my own ice skates and all! My Grandma Lo bought them for us girls awhile back it was such a fun gift!! While Ry paid I was putting my skates and just so excited to get out on the ice and show off my mad "skills". Well sure enough I put the boys to the test we raced!! I WON!  Duh.. Ryan said he let me win and Alex said that I cheated well anyone that was watching knew that I smoked Ryan and that Alex was the one cheating.. cutting through the middle wasn't obvious or anything. So I told them the story of when my mom worked at Channel 4 and she had to be a part of the Winter Games and they needed an extra speed skater for the 10-15 age group so my mom and dad thought it would be fun to throw me in and see how good I could. Since I am the track star of the fam I beat out everybody!!! Its such a great memory I have with my mom and dad and am lucky for how much they were involved in my life!

Well no one believed my story till a little later that night.. Ice skating was blast we did trains and even danced under peoples arms! We will defenitly make this a tradition and go again next year! Once we were all puckered out of skating we decided to see if trax were still working so we could get back on and get into the warm car! Once we got back to our trax station Alex had the bright idea to tell me "So we aren't on ice anymore wanna race on foot?" Really Alex? Really? Since his girlfriend was there I didn't want to make a fool out of him but he insisted on making fun of how fast my "little" legs could run. So I said OKAY. If your going to go there I will show you!! As you can imagine I SMOKED him! He had no chance if you ask him about it now he will still say I cheated! He is just upset that he was beat by a 5 foot girl! :p We went back to the house and watched a movie and passed out!

Saturday Ryan and I were up and Adam at 8 o clock a.m getting ready to finish some Christmas shopping! We started out at Fashion Place mall, it was a mad house!! I gave Ry a few purse ideas and jewlery ideas and we moved on to Sears.. We got my dad a pretty nice "wrench" set I think.. and just shopped! It was great fun! We went home for a little R&R got some fried chicken and just hung out. Of course Alex and Bri wanted us to go to the bar with them!! We were so warm and relaxed at home that it took us awhile to decided plus we didn't want to spend the money when we could just drink at home! We decided to be good sports and just go! It ended up being a ton of fun and of course $100 later we were ready to go home! Sunday we laid around ALL day!! I am so lucky for everything and we are living each day to the fullest!

"Were having too much fun today to worry about tomorrow!"

Dear Santa,

On my list this year are the following:

1. Toms Shoes
2. Coach purse :]
3. Rock N Revival Jeans
4. Jimmy Choos
5. Extensions
6. Eye lash extensions
7. Another Michael Kors watch
8. Diamond Earrings
9. Range Rover
10. House in St. Thomas

Well the last 2 might be stretching just a little above our means (a little) Yes Santa I live in a fantasy world but a girl can dream right?! I have been very very (despite what others may say) nice this year and deserve all of this. After all there is only 10 things in my list! :]

My baby girl

Chewy our blue heeler/border collie is such a good girl and obeys very well! (most of the time) I got her for my 20th birthday and as a little house warming gift from my sweet husband!! Yesterday we took her in to get spayed there is SO many homeless puppies in this world I didn't want to create more!! So yesterday morning I took her into the clinic to have it done thank god my sis joined me for moral support! She is my little lady and really the first responsibility I have ever had except my house she is my pride and joy!!
I went to drop her off at the clinic and at first she did not dare go in and finally we got her to go in and I filled out some paper work and answered some questions and walked her back to her kennel!! It was heartbreaking she did not want to go into that for the life of her!! Once we got her in I said my goodbyes and rushed out before I could hear or cry or bark!! I called throughout the day to check on her and see how her progress was and she did just fine. Right at 4 I ran out of work to go and pick her up oh man was she happy to see mama or what!! At first she thought she could run straight up to me and it hit her that she was in a little bit of pain. So I lifted her up into the car and calmed her down a bit and off we went to Grandmas!

She was really droopy and just sleepy the whole ride there, once we got there all she wanted to do was see her wittle brudder Gussie!! He didn't want anything to do with her and went into the corner and pouted we think he knew she was in pain. I made her a bed in my room (old room) and shut the door so she could get some sleep. Ten minutes later I went to check on her and yep she was on the bed, she had jumped on the bed!!! She thinks she is a little baby or something because she always has to be on your lap or snuggling with you!! So I brought her down into the livign room so she could be apart of all the action and before I knew it she jumped onto the couch!! Her stitches started to bleed a little but over time she was fine! Daddy is home with her today and I hear she is recovering very well. Its weird to some people how much my dogs mean to me but they are just as much part of the family as a human being!! So I will live you with the cutest girl ever!!

Challenge

I am feeling the pressure to be a little more housewife like....! WELL news flash people. I AM NOT!! I never will be!! I hate to cook, I hate to craft, and I HATE to sit on my butt!!!! I always hear "Well at least I can cook" or "At least you eat well" Sorry peeps but I HATE to cook but I get the hint people.. I should at least try so I did! This is my first attempt at being a little more housewive ish....

Yes I made them ALL by myself and I am very proud of it! Derricks wife Jessica made these for their "cookies & punch" reception as I like to call it. So with my competetive attidude I figured if she can do it. I can do it!! Yummy they were so good!! Its pretty simple and real easy here is the recipe:

CAKE
1/4 cup powdered sugar (to sprinkle on towel)
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup LIBBY'S® 100% Pure Pumpkin
1 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)

FILLING
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Powdered sugar (optional for decoration)

FOR CAKE:

PREHEAT oven to 375° F. Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan; line with wax paper. Grease and flour paper. Sprinkle a thin, cotton kitchen towel with powdered sugar.

COMBINE flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt in small bowl. Beat eggs and granulated sugar in large mixer bowl until thick. Beat in pumpkin. Stir in flour mixture. Spread evenly into prepared pan. Sprinkle with nuts.

BAKE for 13 to 15 minutes or until top of cake springs back when touched. (If using a dark-colored pan, begin checking for doneness at 11 minutes.) Immediately loosen and turn cake onto prepared towel. Carefully peel off paper. Roll up cake and towel together, starting with narrow end. Cool on wire rack.

FOR FILLING:
BEAT cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, butter and vanilla extract in small mixer bowl until smooth. Carefully unroll cake. Spread cream cheese mixture over cake. Reroll cake. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least one hour. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.

COOKING TIP:
Be sure to put enough powdered sugar on the towel when rolling up the cake so it will not stick.

So there ya have it! ;] I cooked something! It may have been a sweet but my hubby isn't complaining! :] So call me a bad wife all you want I know who I am and what I am becoming and do NOT need anyones judgement! :] Have a good day.

Oh Christmas Tree!!

Yesterday we FINALLY put up our Christmas tree!! I usually am a person that HATES Christmas! This year with our house and having stable jobs I just can't help but be excited for it!! We had a 4" Christmas tree that we were just going to use until after Christmas to see if maybe we could get one on sale but I couldn't help getting a new big one perfect for our home!!! :] Here is a sneak peek!

It's not that great of a picture but here you go! Notice the Boise State stocking Ryan had to have! I am so excited for Christmas and New Years! I am living the life I have always imagined and am so grateful for such a hardworking husband, and confidant. He truly is my best friend! xoxo

What a weekend!

I am so sad that my fun, busy, long weekend is OVER!! :[ BOOO.... Weds after work we headed straight up to Idaho! The drive seemed longer then ever because I was so anxious and just plain pmsing!! Once we got there Grandpa has Docs pizza waiting for us YUMMY!! We scarfed some of that down and hung out for a bit then headed to Ryans dads house where we had a few brewskies then called it a night! We were both pretty tired! We woke up around 9:30 on Thanksgiving morning and immediately starting helping Grandma with cooking, setting the table, etc. Around 1:00 the fam came over and we grubbed, the food is ALWAYS so good!! :] We hung out and played cards and looked through the ads getting ready for our shopping excursion!!! We headed back to Rys dads house and watch Paranormal Activity and I taught the younger kids how to hit the beer bong! ha ha ha Paranormal Activity was the dumbest movie ever and I feel like I need to take that hour and a half of my life back!! So we decided since we had to leave around 3 a.m to get to Twin by 4 that we would just pull an all nighter!! The original gang was supposed to be Me, Ryan, His dad, his dads girlfriend, Whitney, and His girlfriends niece, Well... the REAL gang was Me, Ryan, Ken, and Jaime (Kens girlfriend). I honestly didn't think Kenny B would wake up to come shopping but sure enough he did!! It was SO much fun and Ry and I got a lot of stuff we have been wanting to get!! Friday DAY we slept and ate leftovers then played cards at Grandmas and I was OUT by about 9:30!! The next morning Ryan woke up early and went fishing with his dad and grandpa probably one of the last few times they will be able to go together so  here is a cute picture that I hope Ry will hold close to him!

Thanksgiving

"Feeling grateful or appreciative of someone or something in your life actually attracts more of the things that you appreciate and value into your life."

I can't believe its already the week of Thanksgiving! I thought I better get a post in since I dont know when I will have much time again. This Thanksgiving seems to mean so much more then all the others! The first and foremost thing I am thankful for is my marriage. As any couple Ry and I have had our ups and downs but as of lately it seems we are on cloud nine. I learn more and more about him everyday and fall even deeper in love with every new thing he does. He is an amazing husband and sometimes I think it is a 80/20 with him doing most of the work. I appreciate everything he does for me and the people around him. He is the apple of my eye! We have been so busy with some many exciting things that its hard to keep track of time! This past weekend we had the chance to be a part of Ryans cousin Derricks wedding. Ryan and Derrick are best friends and seriously look like twins! Its almost scary! We look forward to so many more memories with Derrick and Jessica and all four of us hope to have little boys in the future so they can share the bond Ryan and Derrick did. They do want 6 kids so hopefully Ryan and I can have one when they are having their 3rd.. well maybe 5th! This coming weekend we are going to Idaho again to spend with with his Grandparents and dad. It will be a lot of fun and the food will be WONDERFUL as always!! The next weekend after that we will be back up in Idaho AGAIN to pay a speeding ticket Ry got a while back. Then we have our "favorite" nephews 6th birthday! I can't believe how fast he has grown up! I remeber going to his 4th birthday! *tear... He is such a big boy and gets better looking every time I see him! We love you Pey!!  Once the holidays are over we have Rys 22nd birthday, my dads 50th birthday, our new little niece, and my 21st birthday!  This next year will be so exciting and I can't wait to share it with my friends and family! This last trip to Idaho made me realize how old of a first time mom I will be! Derricks older sister Erica has a 2 year old boy and he is so dang cute every little action he makes is so enthusiastic I wanted to play with him and did for a bit but I get so intimated by those little ones! With the new marriage, little boys, and new niece arriving lately Ry and I have felt the pressure from family and friends and had many questions on when we will have little monsters. Well people... NOT anytime soon! I want to enjoy my life being young and enjoy the first few years I have with Ryan and MAYBE learn to cook? Lol I can barely keep my own head on straight!! We have our nephew niece and cousins to do the work for us! As of now are are more then comfortable with being the babysitter! I am just thankful that I have all these wonderful people in my life that I can share so many things with! I love you all and appreciate all the love and support you give to us!

Time Flies

I am just realizing  how fast time flies by! I can't believe it is already November and the Holidays are just around the corner! So much has been happening in our life that its hard to keep up at times! Our puppies have grown SO much and have a ton of energy and I just can't keep up with them.
Gus has probably gained about 20 pds and has chewed on almost everything surface of our house! He really knows how to push our buttons! Call me crazy but I think of dogs as human beings! I just love them! And for our sweet girl Chewy here she is! She is such a good dog and is very even tempered! Gus has been a total tyrant since the day we got him! Grr.. he has chewed up the corners of our walls. My shoes, my bags! EVERYTHING!! He is a pain in my royal ass!!

Thats an update on our kiddies! :] Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

He is..

BACK!! I am finally a married woman again!! LOL Ryan has dedicated the last week to his passion for hunting but oh boy were we both ready for him to come home! I have never realized since this year what its like to be without him or how hard it is to maintain everything. Sine has has been gone I have woke up, took a shower, took my dogs to gammys, gone to work form 9-5, went home and cleaned up, went to my parents for dinner, and went out at night to try and maintain our social life. Man oh man, does it suck without him or what!!?
Friday night my sister and I rented some movies and hung out at my moms. Saturday I went to Olive Garden and shopping with some girlfriends close to $330 later I was done and ready to go home. I got ready to hang out and met up with my friend Krystal we had a little get together at her place and I ended up being the care taker/d.d all night! I know your proud right... Sunday I slept and did laundry.. Monday I just begged and begged for Ry to come home. Tuesday night he came home pretty late around 11:30 so we of course stayed up late and hung out then the next morning he stayed and cleaned up all his hunting stuff and we went to lunch took a 2 1/2 hour nap and then made dinner! After dinner I went and saw my little cousin play softball with my sister, daddy, cousin, 2 aunts, and uncle. She has gotten so big and know my grandmother would be proud. After the softball game I went to Vanessa's house to get a special viewing of  Lisa's GORGEOUS dress! I walked in and thought to myself she was the most beautiful bride ever! She looks exactly like Belle from Beauty and the Beast. So pretty!! Then I went home and hung out with my 2 fav boys.. Ryan and Derrick.  Derrick is Ryan's cousin but I swear they were supposed to be twins. I would look at each one of them from the side and would get kind of creeped out by how much they look alike. All the Barras men are so handsome however, they have pretty bad habits. Like farting as LOUD as possible! And licking their fingers after a meal is done. Well I cant wait till Derrick gets married so we have more get togethers and create many more memories! This week has definetly made me reflect on my appreciate for my husband. Now.. for I swear our 1st date in ages!!

Tis the season..

NO.... not Christmas yet.. In the Barras household its hunting season!! Every October Ry gets his things packed and takes off for what seems like a million years! Being a newlywed and having some attatchment issues I am dreading him leaving!! DREADING!! Its not so much that I am scared to be home alone.. as it just being A LONE.. Not having my best friend to talk to or see when I am having a bad day! He is leaving for a whole week here people!! I am already planning on staying with my mom and dad.. ahh my mom doing my laundry my dad cooking me yummy homemade meals! Does it get better? While I will be here still doing my same thing, Ry and his buddies Bobby B, and Brandon, well and Kenny B of course will be having a good ol' time hunting! After seeing The Time Traver's Wife I am really weary of him going and just nervous I guess. I would be nothing without Ryan and can't imainge my day by day life without him next to me. I feel like I am writing his obiturary or something... pathetic me.. Just note: I will miss him LOTS!! So on a happier note I will leave you of this picture. It reminds me of Ryan to the T and I laughed my ass off when I saw it. Hope you enjoy it as well!!

GOOD LUCK BABE!! XOXOXO

Brad Paisley

BRAD PAISLEY!!

Just 2 weekends ago Ryan and I joined our best friends out for a night of country music! We went to see Dierks Bently and Brad Paisley at USANA. Before hand I was lucky enough to talk everyone into getting Chef Tom's for dinner!! Probably the best food in ALL of Utah! So after dinner we piled in our cars and made the trip to USANA we got pretty reasonable parking! I have the 2 best girlfriends in the world! We have SO much in common and just have SO much fun together! It was a great concert and we all had a great time! Towards the end it started to rain but that wasn't stopping us! And it didn't take us a million and one hours to get out of the parking lot either! Thanks for the fun time girls!! :]

Frama & Frampa Barras

WOW... its been too long since I last posted and boy do I have some catching up to do! To you bitches who can stay up on this shit.. good on ya!! Sometimes I feel like blogging can be a little soap box and I dont want mine to be that way so I am going to make this post and the next several as happy as possible! I dedicate this one to the cutest couple I have ever met Grandpa and Grandma Barras. I dont know about you but I only have 1 grandmother still living.. I never knew my mom's dad and barely knew my dad's dad and my dad's mother died 4 years ago from breast cancer she was my best friend and I miss her dearly.. so I think it is so neat that Ryan has both sets of Grandparents still living. His Gma and Gpa Barras are by far the cutest couple known to man kind! They have been married for a bigillion and 1 years and you can still see the spark they have in their eyes when they look at each other. (Look how happy he looks by her side!)

Well anyways... Ryan's Grandpa has not been doing so well. After 2 triple by pass surgeries you'd think he would be use to surgery and pain by now! Man he is a trooper.. He has been suffering from back and leg pains for about 2 months now and they just keep getting worse and to boot 2 disks in his back were out of place and his arthrities wasn't helping either! So the weekend after my surgery Ryan and I made a trip to Burrely (hick voice) Idaho... we were greeted with warm  hearts and open arms. It reminds me so much of my Grandma's house I just love it. Friday night Ryan and his dad HAD to get out of the house so we went to Melody's. Some po ass dunk place in Idaho. It was SO cool and weird to me. For one I have never been into a bar and for another that probably wasn't the best place to go for my first impression!! Ry and Kenny B were shooting the drinks like it was nobody's bidness. I on the other hand knew I should probably stay sober so I could kick their asses in line if needed!! Ry sang some karaoke and I showed ID how us SLC girls rip up the dance floor!!

Saturday we hung out at Ryan's Grandma's and helped her with anything we could. She made me chicken noodle soup just out of the can but boy I swear it was the best chicken noodle soup ever! All I needed was a little Grandma loving! :] Before we left we gave hugs bye and Ryan let Grandpa know that he couldn't pass yet because there was many more fishing trips in the future with our munchkins! I hope to God he is still around because I know my children will love him just as I do! Ryan calls his Grandma every Sunday to see how things are going and she was so ecstatic and SO happy that Grandpa was doing so well! I broke down and cried and just though how fortunate Ry is to have wonderful Grandparents. It really made me miss my Gma Lo! So I am letting you know from expereince savor EVERY second you have with the old folks, because you can't get them back no matter how hard you try!! R.I.P G-Ma!!

Surgery, Recovery, Week of hell!!

All is well in The Barras household!! I am slowly but surely getting back to my normal self! :] THANK GOD!! Here is a few things we have been up to since our last post!!

The first Boise Game!! Woot Woot!! We had a little get together at our house for the Boise game since we ARE huge fans!! Peyton's dad Will and his little brother Alex were able to come down and hang out for the night Ryan had a blast with them! I of course HAD to get Peyton all jacked up on suga so I have him all the oreo cookies his little heart could imagine.... well after that we had this...
Peyton showing off his break dancing moves!! It was HILARIOUS!!! I had no idea that this could come out of this boy! He is usually shy and reserved! Well of course Auntie loved it!! :]
That next day I had to go in for surgery on my poor tonsils!! I was so nervous Thursday I dont think I slept more then 3 hours! I was making myself SO sick to my tummy! Friday morning I woke up bright early hoping a hott shower would calm my nerves.. yeah I was wrong!!
Once we got into the surgical center my horrible thoughts were flying and I was seeing my life flash before my eyes!! As I was signing all the documentation like... please note this surgery may result in death, coma, blah blah. I told Ry just remeber I want to be cremated and PLEASE take good care of my puppies!! LOL Well after that was all finished they took us back to the room where I would get ready for surgery of course my sweet mother came along with us to make sure the doctor had the correct health history on me. As he asked 180943434 questions my mom knew the answers to all of them and some that came to a surprise to me! Well the doctor cleared me for surgery and I kissed my sweet mother goodbye and hugged my hubby like I was never going to see him again!
LOL I went into surgery at 9:45 and was awake and ready to go home by noon! My mom drove me home and made sure I was comfy while hubby ran to the grocery store for everything he thought we might need for the next week. Juice, capri sun, gatorade, go gurt, apple sauce, soup, popsicles up the wall. Well I was feeling pretty good just tired from all the drugs so Friday night I slept most of the night! Saturday I am pretty sure I was still on the anesthesia because oh boy was I ready to go out or what!! LOL My sweetest bestest girlfriend Vannessa brought me some gorgeous flowers and of course popsicles!! Later that night Lisa and her "FIANCE" Garrett came to see me and we took a little trip to Coldstone where I was feeling goooddd!! LOL I told everyone that the surgery was not near as bad as thought it would be! Ba ha ha oh man did I have a LONG road comin or what. Sunday I woke up as if I was hit and ran over a thousand times by a Mack truck!! My meds had worn off and I was in HELL!! I remeber Monday night just moaning and crying in Ryans arms! Poor guy didn't have sleep for a week. I have to shout out to my mom and sister who really pulled out for me and were there every single step of the way! My mom (Nurse Ratchet) was so good she was such a good help and checked on me every half hour to make sure everything was going okay. She babysat me from 7:30-4:00 when Ry would get off work and take over!  I DONT think I would have made it without her! My sister last but not least was a HUGE help and cleaned my kitchen and would lay with me and stay home with me while I was so down and out!  (She would even sneak me pain meds when my mom took them away because I had had enough ;] shh...) Through this surgery and week of hell Ryan and I have realized every single person that is there for us when we need them the most! ;] We cant thank you guys enough for EVERYTHING you did! I dont think I would have such a fast recovery if it wasn't for you your encouragement, support, and sympathy! I love you ALL!!

I am so excited to be here with her through this whole pregnancy! Don't get me wrong I love Peyton as if he came out of my own va jay jay but I am just so excited to see this little one turn into the little beast I know it will be!! I know it will be a girl and if its not I am going to be damn surprised! Here is the first item I am working on... I know its soon but I am a perfectionist and the least creative person ever so I am going to need A LOT of time to work on this!
Its a diaper cake!
Since Jessica told me she was preggers I knew I wanted to make her one of these! I hear it is better to do it with cloth diapers so that is what I will do! (Plus the thought of unwrapped diapers grosses me out!) I am so excited to see Peyton with his new little sibling he is going to be an awesome big brother and such a big help to his mommy and Deano! Congrats guys we are very very happy for you! :] Can't wait for the journey and memories we have ahead! NOW... of to find a baby recorder! ;]

1st Surgery

As some of you already know I have been told by my ENT that I HAVE to get my tonsils removed!! AHHH!! Surgery? Me? Scariest thing possible.. Here is a few reasons as to why I am SO stressed out about it!

1) As a child I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Epilepsy which basically means there is no known cause for why I have or have had seizures. I have experienced 3 severe Grand Mal seizures (however, i dont remeber them).

2) I am allergic to anestheisa. How or Why is still unkown.

3) The anestheisa I get for my surgery may bring my eplilepsy BACK!

I am so dang scared!! I do not want to put the burden of my seizures on my husband or any of my family members nor do I want to have an allergic reaction during the procedure and DIE!! I have so many scary thought going through my head and most of them I am sure are pretty silly!

Why do I have to get my tonsils out you say? Well if you have a weak stomach STOP reading NOW! If not enjoy! :]

I have what is called Tonsil Crypts other wise known as Tonsilloliths. Tonsil Crypts are small pockets that form on the outside of your tonsils. It’s these pockets or tonsil crypts that collect debris, like the mucus from nasal drip as well as food particles. When accumulated, this debris forms what is called tonsil stones. When all of this collects in the tonsil crypts, you will not only get symptoms as sore throat and a raspy voice, but also halitosis or bad breath! (So sorry honey!) So there you have it. My 1st and hopefully last surgery!! (Well for the exception of my new boobies!) Coming to you March 2010! LOL Hope you all enjoyed and I will be expecting flowers!

Updates on EVERYTHING!!

It has been way too long since I last blogged! Sorry! We are finally settled into our new place (i know i know its been almost 5 months) but my how time flies! We have everything in sort and just love having our own place to do what we want when we want!

Here is a pic of the front of the house since Ry has put his green thumb to it!

I dont think I ever thought our grass would be this green! I planted the blue planter full of daisies and my mom planet the brown ones for us! :] Thanks mom! Anyways.. as most of you know Ry gave me a puppy for my birthday! She is a really good dog but one day we had an incident because she gets so excited when we feed her in the morning, one morning I was feeding her and she did not see me put the food down into her bowl so as I was walking back inside she had the bright idea to hit the "food" out of my hand! I ended up tripping and barely hitting my elbow on the back door window. Well I slammed the door a little harder then I should have and well it ALL shattered to the ground! It was a disaster! Luckily we only had to wait on day till we could put a new one in! However, that one night we did have to wait it rained!!! OF COURSE!! So here is Ry's way of fixing that problem! GARBAGE BAGS!!!!!!! Luckily we were able to call my Auntie who works and central glass and she hooked us up with a new window!! :] So it is all fixed!! Next we have our new addition to the Barras Family! Gus Gus! He is our little pug/boston terrier also known as Hell Boy! I have never known such a puppy to be so cute and so sweet, yet the biggest trouble maker EVER!!!! Chewy and Gus are best friends and get along so well. After awhile of not being together they start to suffer from separation anxiety. It is quite pathetic if you ask me. They fight NON-STOP run up and down the hall ways and knock their heads on just about every surface of the house. Chewy usually grabs Gus' fat and Gus will grab Chews X-L big ears! They are our little babies and we love the crap out of them!! :] I think that is all the important stuff!! Stay tuned for more about Us and our Crazy Dogs!!

Learning!

I am trying to learn this whole blog thing so we can keep everyone in tune! Bear with me! :]

Sweetest Hubby!!

I just want to take a few minutes and talk about my husband and how much I appreciate it. He is the sweetest most genuine man in this entire world. He grew up on a farm and loves the simple things in life. I grew up in the city and have to always be hustling and bustling everywhere! Since the day I met him I knew he was my hero, best friend, and the love of my life! Ryan has learned alot in his 21 years of existence and I want him to know how much I look up to him for overcoming everything he has had against him. Because of this I believe he strives to be a better husband and someday will be the best dad our kids could every have!! He is the definition of perfection. He might not have all the money in the world but he has all the love to give to me and that is all I need!! Thinking back it seems like yesterday I walked down the aisle to him! He gives me more then I could ever ask for!! We have a ton of memories ahead and cannot wait until we are on our 54th wedding anniversary like his grandparents are today! Congrats gma and gpa Barras!!

My Birthday Present!!

I finaLLy finaLLy got my puppy!!! I have been begging Ry since the day we signed on our house if we could get a puppy!! I wanted a yorkshire terrier for our inside dog and a bLue heeLer for our outside dog!! Friday Ry called me and said "Hey hurry home from work we are going to pick up a puppy!!" I was ecstatic!!!! Seriously she is the cutest most playful thing ever!! She is a bLue heeLer border coLLie mix and we love her to death!! I am so excited everything is finaLLy coming into place for us!!!

New House!

We finally got our house!! We signed last Friday, it was an emotional and nerve wracking experience! I never thought we would the house, we move in this Saturday and it has still not hit me yet! I think it will when I am packing all my boxes down the 4 flights of stairs we have at our apartment place! I can't wait to see everything put into place and to have a beer or 2.. or 3.. on our porch! I want to thank everyone that has encouraged Ry and I and belived in us enough to keep us motivated! Without those people in our lives we would not have half the things we have! We have wonderful family and friends that we would not trade for anything!! I will get some pictures posted as soon as my life is back in order!!!

February 2009

As I am sitting here I am thinking how fast time flies!! It was like yesterday Ryan and I were wedding planning now we are going on 6 months and finally getting into the house of our dreams! Neither one of us every thought that we would be married or buying a home of our own by the time we were 21 years old! We have been through some tough times, but the saying what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger is so true in our case! I am so excited for the amazing things we have together it is just beginning for the 2 of us!! We are so grateful for the wonderful family and friends we have around us! We would not be in this place in our life without them! As for the next month so come I am going to make them go by as slow as possible!
