Catch-Up

Let me start off by saying, I am loving every minute of my 2nd trimester, it has been easy, smooth and sick free! Other then the occasional pulling and stretching of my body thinking of my little man seems to make it all go away! We have finally came to an agreement on a name for our guy so we can stop calling him "it, bambino, uno, baby etc".

I have loved the name Krew for quite sometime now, I don't know why it's very edgy maybe. I had a fantastic weekend in Idaho and probably shopped for Krew too much but hey, you only do this first baby thing once right? I have been stressed to the maxx thinking of all of the things that I have to do/need to do for my own sanity. We stopped by our local Buy Buy Baby last night and I was able to narrow down between 2 cribs, our carseat and stroller travel system, and our bedding! I finally have a vision of it all in my head and can't wait to start putting it into action! I know I have ALL Summer to get things done but my mind is like a hamster ball and it's always on HIGH ROLL.

We decided to go with the Graco Quattro Reverse Travel System in Platinum for our little dude. I decided on this one because the reviews are really good, it is very light weight which is nice for my litte frame, and I also just like the classy colors of it. "Keep it classy San Diego" (name that movie!)
Hubbs had to test it out of course!

I am still taking this pregnany thing day by day. I hate to complain because we are so very blessed but this whole gaining weight thing is really getting to my head! I know I need to be gaining weight and that it is healthy weight for both Krew and I but come one I've always weighed between 100-115 (error I mean 115) so it's been rough. Plus my hips feel like they are going to RIP right out of my body, but hey I am keeping my eye on the sweet sweet prize!
This little guy made me feel better last night!

Here are some quotes that are going to help me get through my day and into my Friday and hott beautiful weekend! I will be in tomorrow with my 16 week bump post. Holy Moly!

Gender Reveal

I had been waiting what seemed like ages (8weeks to be exact) to find out what our baby was & to share the new with the ones I love the most. We will never.ever forget last night, the love from all of our friends & family, the happiness, and the overall joy! Love was really in the air. After all of the chaos and planning and obsessing I did it was such a fabulous night and I am so glad we were able to put it all together!!

The night was perfect to say the least. The cake, the food, the decorations, the people. Pure bliss. For the food we just had a veggie tray, a berry bowl, cupcakes, chips and salsa, lemonade & cake of course!

Since Ryan and I found out the night before we let my parents cut the cake, this is their first Grandbaby so they were pretty excited to say the least. I don't feel like I can put how great the party was into words, and pictures don't do all the justice needed.
My niece & I. She always has the greatest stories.

My dad with nephew (dad never really does well with pics)

The banner was made by my fabulous sister in law whom does NOT give herself enough credit for her creativity. Yes. YOU bitch! Check her & the cute kids I am always bragging about HERE.
She is usually cheesin' for pictures but we must have caught her at a bad time!

Proof!

Proud Parents!!

Sorry for the picture overload and the lack of tan on my body!  I cannot thank everyone enough for the party, the gifts, and the love that was shown to us last night! I can't wait to one day till our little man about all of the excitement, love, joy, and pure happiness that was bottled up in our small house last night.

Baby Barras..

It's A..

BOY!!

Ryan & I could not be prouder to announce that we are expecting a baby boy this November!! We went to Fetal Fotos here in SLC on Tuesday night, I went in dead set on having a GIRL. I truly thought I was growing a vagina inside of me, I had the nursery colors picked out, the names, the picture themes, the bows, the ruffles everything!! To my surprise our tiny bean is a boy, husband cried, I cried, and I asked the tech how sure she was to which she replied "I am very very sure he is a boy! Start painting"! As a little girl I always dreamed about having a boy first, to be the man of the house when husband is gone, to protect this sister (if god grants us one) and to teach me how to be more of a boy mom than girl mom. Does that make sense? Anyways, I am thrilled beyond belief and can't wait to have another Ryan running around the house, If I never get my girl I think I will be okay with being a boy only mama! After we had our u/s we headed out to dinner and shopping it was such a great night, me, my husband, and what we could finally say OUR BABY BOY!! Keeping the secret until the next evening was a challenge but we managed and I am so glad that we did, it was very intimate to experience just the 2 of us! I will now fill you in on the goods; the party!

It's A...

Okay SIKE. We are not announcing what we are having until after our gender reveal party tonight! Husband & I know and man it sure has been fun to have a little intimate secret between the 2 of us! I think it is the first time I have realized that in a mere 175 days we will be a family of 3! Yesterday we went to Fetal Fotos & had a 45 minute session with the ultrasound and found our sweet pea! It was so bittersweet, husband and I were in tears of course. If you are in the SLC area I highly suggest you get your booty there and get those parts checked out! Thank God our party is tonight because I am dying to spill the beans, last night when Ryan and I went shopping I was so aware of the people around us because I didn't want anyone to see us in the BOY or GIRL section! So hopefully tomorrow I will have a chance to recap our party. I am off to Idaho this weekend and have been TOTALLY swamped and didn't catch a 14 week bump POST but I promise to do a 15 week one! For now here is the person taking up so much excitement and time in our lives as of now
I figured I could share all of the votes of the guys I work with. I think they are just being A-Holes and wishing for me to have karma 2 fold!
We will see who is right tomorrow morning! They are going to pester me all day at work today! Luckily it's just a 1/2 day! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Today is the BIG day!!

Thank God our Corporate & Hyundai peeps are in the office today or else I'd be one excited space cadet! However, I have to stay focused and together because the big wiggies are here! I think it's a blessing in disguise because I'd be a nervous wreck! We find out at 4:30 tonight wether our bean is a BOY or a GIRL! Wish us Luck!!

Weekend Ramblings

Hey Lovies!
I had a crazy fun weekend! Let me recap and share pics!! Friday hubbs & I went out for Famous Dave's and then to see
It was everything that I read it to be but not much more. A sense of humor, sadness, qurkiness, and of course sassy! May I please ask the sweet lawd above to grant me looks like Brooklyn Decker when I am 8 to 9 months pregnant? That was fun but I was happier to meet with my bed afterwards, that seems to be my thing lately. Saturday I woke up at 8:00 AM and dove right into my house DEEP cleaning and office rearrangement! I don't have any pictures yet since it still isn't 100% done but I will post as soon as we get it together! I never did get to shower after cleaning Saturday my niece and 2 nephews were over later that evening for a sleepover! I love to have fun sleepovers with them, it met my expectations too! I was up most of the night because I have been sleeping like crap shit lately plus my nephew whom is 6 mo old missed his mama! Needless to say I was running on about 2 hours of sleep, we woke up about 8 AM. Fed the kiddies breakfast and took off for a picnic at Copperton Park and headed up to the Kennecott Copper Mine for some more fun!
Ry's tan usually never shows mine up but this Summer I am going to have to take a back seat to trying to out due my family in our yearly tanning comp.

I have been to the Mine a lot in my younger days, I think I probably took 3 field trips to that place. Though it was fun to see my niece and nephew marvel at the big hole I myself was just thinking about a nap! No way; this mama had way too much planned!
After they kicked us out for the mine blast we headed to the mall! I have been needing to get some new maternity pants for Summer and work and I have no time this week or next weekend to go so hubbs took me and I got some really cute comfy stuff! Afterwards, he treated me to La Frontera (my fav mexican place) & we headed home for the preimere of KUWTK!! If you heard about the Solar Eclipse I didn't fully see it but we did manage to get some sweet pictures!

I showered and hit the sack around 9:30 to prepare for my 5:00 AM wake up call!

A Mans Best Friend

As I like to call her my BFF no not B.F.F. BFF like say the B and the FF's together.
Since being pregnant my puppy Chewy and I have grown even closer. It's kinda weird and indescribeable but it's like she gets me, she protects me, she loves me for me. I had to share this sweet picture of us I was able to capture last night. Man, that dog sure loves me messyhair and all!

Cleaning out my closet

If you would have told me 3 1/2 years ago when I moved into my home that someday I could not use all 3 bedroom closets for myself I would NOT have believed you. Yes, for the past 3 years I have been using 3 closets for my own personal clothes, shoes, handbags, hoodies/coats, hats, and anything else you can think of! Well this weekend hubbs & I were able to clean out the closets & the office and move the baby stuff that has been cluttering our bar/living room for 6ish weeks now!! I can't wait to find out the gender on Tuesday so I can start going shopping CRAY! Something about little baby clothes just gets me going! I do think I am having a girl and feel like we mains well start buying PINK, that's how strong my intuition is. If I am wrong I will be so so surprised! Here are a few MUST-HAVES for our "baby girls" closet!

How cute is this Juicy Couture Baby Romper,. Seriously is this not to die for? Add in a little baby chubb coming out the sides and pink painted toe nails and that spells Summer to me! (:

Also, I saw this cute little tiny bikini for my baby doll!
Does anyone else LOVE LOVE LOVE baby bikinis or is it just me? Add the smell of natural baby and some suncreen and that calls for a day at the pool with my little sweet pea! I am getting too excited here!!

Don't forget the shoes for those little feetsies! I understand that babies don't wear shoes a lot but there is nothing wrong with buying a few in hopes that they will get a little bit of wear out of them! These are just a few of my favorite things for a baby girl. Of course she has to be stylin' in JC like her mama!

Now now I haven't left out my dreams for a baby BOY either because if you have been reading my blog as of the last 6 weeks or so you would know that I do not care if I have a boy or a girl I just feel very blessed to be able to create such a miracle! I do have a few "first purchase" items for a sweet little boy too!

Seriously here I go with the shoes again but every little boy needs a pair of Air Jordan. Teach them Swagg young! Plus wether he wears these or not aren't they just too cute not to cherish? I can't believe how much of a "mom" I am turning into!
Pair these 2 swim pieces together with some sunscreen and a picnic lunch and it calls for a day at the Country Club. Golfing with Grandpa and dad with a white polo, swimming with mama & Auntie. Or getting food all over the little buddha belly!! See how badly I need to shop here! Wether I get a BOY or  GIRL I am going to be so over the moon excited and can't wait to start planning our future as a family of 3!(both found at baby gap)

13 weeks!

How Far Along? 13 weeks! In the picture above I am 13w5d!

Size of Baby? Lemon. I think I will make some Iced Tea!

Maternity Clothes? Just maternity leggins still & regular tops along with the BeBand!

Weight Gain? I have not weighed myself since my appointment last week. Will update on Friday when I go for another appt & my 14 week bump post!

Stretch Marks? No

Gender? We find out in 1 week!!

Sleep? Amaze.balls. STILL.

Food Cravings? Icecream, Spicy Peppers, Watermelon

What I Miss? I am taking it all day by day! ((:

Symptoms? This past week I have had really bad gas pains & slight heartburn! Bring on the hair!!

Best Moment of the Week? Finally being taken down to the 1 week countdown for the gender! Also, getting the nursery 85% cleaned out!!

Weekend Shananingans, My bad mamajama, Summer

I am going to try summarize my hectic weekend in a short post with lots of pics! Friday hubbs & I started it out by going to his work 5 hour banquet at the Grand America I was starving and the only thing they had was MEAT!! I was miserable to say the least and had extreme GAS pains! After, we headed to my sis and brother in laws where they were celebrating his 28th 39th birthday!! I don't think our family would be quite the same without that dude! Happy Birthday Deano ::throws confetti:: We didn't stay long as I was still not feeling well I ran home and blobbed right into bed. Saturday we woke up around 10 a.m and did LOTS of Summer cleaning. We are putting our office and spare bedroom into one to make room for the nursery! We got the nusery cleaned out for the most part we just have to find an office desk and futon! Then we headed to a local baby store called Babinkis where I was in complete baby heaven and my O.C.D kicked in to overdrive!! I picked out the crib and glider and we are going to go order next weekend with Grandma and Grandpa!! I am getting more and more excited! I also HAD to pick up the Sleep Sheep since I have heard SO my blog mamas, Facebook mamas, and friends rave about how much their babe LOVED it! I love it myself!!
We headed home for the day & bbq'd some dinner outside on the patio then watched The Vow. Yes, I am that lucky girl whom husband watches chick flicks with her!! Saturday was such a great day I love having days just husband and I and soon baby!!

Sunday was my 1st "unoffical" Mothers Day & I got spoiled way more then I needed or even expected! I woke up to flowers and a spa gift card!!
I actually need to make an appointment to go and get a facial before my party week and vacation in Idaho with husbands cousins! (girl trip!!) We had breakfast with husbands sister then went for a double scoop icecream cone and headed home for a nap! Then we went to my moms for dinner and celebrated with my family my mom and dad were so sweet and bought me a card with a gift card for A Pea in the Pod or Motherhood Maternity because my mom knows I'd never spend money on maternity clothes! I know I NEED to but I still have it in my head that I can be my self fashionable and pregnant. PHAT as I'd like to say yes, (pregnant, hot & tempting). Ridculous I know I am starting to need new pants so maybe I will hunt this weekend! I do have to do a little shoutout post to my mama
The words I have for this woman will never truely sum up how I feel about her and how much I look up to her for Christian guidance. She is the epitomy of a working mama, I am not quite sure how she managed to juggle everything that she did and still not miss ANY of my track meets. I am sure to find out soon though! I am so lucky to have her by my side guiding me through this pregnancy and motherhood! Love you mom!!
It's officially Summer in the SLC. Snoasis snow shakes are open!! Yay!! We went with niece and nephew last night! I of course had Tigers Blood and indulged fully! I know I have the cutest niece in the world she is so sassy and full of spunk! I hope this Summer is as good as my head has planned!

1 week today til we find out the gender! Cast your vote!!

Selfless

I am not sure if this is a good thing, or bad thing to admit BUT I am going to do it anyways. I am a pretty selfish person at times, I don't like to share, I like to do my own thing when I want, I hate being told what to do and when to do it, and if something doesn't benefit me in someway I am usually not game for it. Now I don't know if I can blame it on my childhood athletic attitude or if it's just in my DNA? As a youth and young adult my parents didn't put me in team sports, my mom didn't like the "politics" of them. So I did A LOT of individual sports gaining my own self esteem and not having to depend on other people for a win. I have been running track "sprinter sarah" since I was 4 yrs old. I remember the 1st time I won my very first 100 meter dash I was just a wee-one but it felt SO good to beat everyone else and know that I did it on my own. Is this making sense to anyone? I dropped out of ballet when I was 11 so I could strictly focus on my "2012 Olympic" dreams I like to accomplish things on my own, do things on my own. Like I said before build my own self esteem I don't need anyone to tell me how wonderful and great I am BUT since being pregnant this has all changed. It's like I have morphed into a whole nother person! For the better of course, all I can think about is sustaining this little life inside of me, eating right, getting enough sleep, relaxing when my body tells me I need to relax and most of all waiting to put my whole self and life into something so delicate, so dependant, and fragile. I can't wait till the day I look my baby in the eyes and give myself up for him/her. We had the 1st part of the Integrated Screening on Tuesday.
Of course I was ecstatic to see my bean again. See my problem I keep calling "our" baby "my" baby. The measurement from head to neck looked great and I gave some blood but overall the gestational counselor had no concerns and thinks that OUR baby will be just fine! Going into this knowing that I may or may not have a baby with a disability is always heart wrenching but I knew my life has changed forever when I thought to myself. Why NOT me? What makes me above everyone else to NOT have a disabled child. If God grants me the privlege to give my care to a special needs child then AWESOME! He trusts me THAT much and he has THAT much faith in me. Instead of sitting on the sidelines and thinking "what if" I am ready to take that journey with open arms and faith in God knowing he would never give my husband and I more then we could handle. So we DO pray for a healthy bouncy baby but do not fear the real chances. Okay, sorry I just wanted to be able to document this "epiphany" moment.

On to another baby of mine ours

Could that face get any sweeter? I am going to buy her a new harness this weekend since she has grown out of her other one and she is going to be my new walking partner! Mama needs to get her butt back to the gym and now that I am almost out of my 1st tri I think it's time!

Reminder for the busy weekend I have ahead of myself. Is it the 23rd yet?

11 days till our gender scan!

I ordered the invites from

http://www.etsy.com/shop/genderreveal

She was very personable and eager to please me and change things as I wanted! The invites are out the food and decorations are planned now I just need the 23rd to come FAST! That weekend we are also off to Idaho to share the excitement with some relatives we have there! Hubbs is hoping for a BOY & I am hoping for a healthy bean! Happy Thursday I will be back tomorrow with my bump post! 13 weeks baby!

Cry Session

I am somewhat of a ball baby and bring pregnant has only intensified those ball baby moments! I read this article http://living.msn.com/family-parenting/pets/the-powerful-bond-between-soldier-dogs-and-their-handlers this morning. The flood gates opened. I love my dogs I am worried about how my dogs will do once the baby comes. I want everything to be such a smooth transition for all of us, if things aren't in my control and going the way I want/expect them too I lose it. I spend days, hours, minutes thinking of the best outcome in every situation and stress over those little details. This is a good article on puppy love plus you have to appreciate the soldiers whom put their life on the line for us. I just wanted to share (not the tears) but the truth in this article! Enjoy!

Weekend

It was a chilly May weekend here in SLC. I am ready for the 90+ degrees to hit anytime now, I know my oven is on full bake but I'd rather be hott then cold anyday!! Husband worked nights all weekend so we didn't do much marriage bonding. My Friday started out lovely, I had my sisters graduation she graduated from The University of Utah with her Bachelors Degree in Economics.
Pretty much my dad had a cry session, my mom was pleased to finally have a child graduated and I was happy to get off of work early! We had lunch at Little America then carried on with our day my hardworking self came back to work for the rest of the day. After work my BFF Lexie and I went to the hair store then City Creek Mall where I spent too much $$ then to see The Avengers!
(Yeah she has long hair like Kim Kardashian. (bitch))

The Avengers was awesome and I am definetly Team Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr. is looking hot for his age! The movie got out way late so I headed home and put my pregnant butt to bed! Saturday we woke up and had a yard sale with my sister and brother in law it was CHILLY but we came out about $40 richer! Saturday hubbs had to work so I hung out with my niece and nephews grubbed on food and healthy snacks! Sunday I slept till noon then hubbs and our brother in law took nephew to see The Avengers. Best picture ever::
Seriously is he not going to be such a fun dad or what? I went to lunch and Ikea with sis and then went home cleaned out my closet shoes and all. I NEED to start crossing things off of my to-do list or I don't feel it will ever get done! We need to finish our backyard$$, get a new roof, get new carpet, new/smaller office furniture and once we find out the gender I can put my nursery vision into full effect! 2 weeks peeps!!
